How your cashback works

As a thanks for using our service, LifeDirect gives you a 20% Cashback on your first year's life insurance, mortgage insurance or income protection premium!
How it works is simple - when your policy starts we'll send you a lump sum equal to 20% of your first year's premium. The Cashback is paid on life insurance, mortgage insurance or income protection insurance only and is paid on the first 12 months' premium, not in subsequent years. The Cashback is paid to you by LifeDirect, not your selected insurer. It is a lump sum and does not affect the regular premium you pay to your insurer.

Cashback conditions

No Cashback is payable if you are replacing an existing policy started through LifeDirect. Also, if you are replacing an existing policy with a policy from the same insurer, LifeDirect will only pay a Cashback on any increase in premium. You must have an active policy when you claim your Cashback and it must be claimed within 6 months of your policy commencing. If you cancel your policy through LifeDirect, or it lapses through non-payment within twelve months of receiving the Cashback, you must return the cashback in full to LifeDirect.

Prezzy card conditions

LifeDirect by Trade Me offers Prezzy cards to potential or existing customers from time to time (the “Promotion”). These terms govern our Promotion, in addition to any terms stated in electronic direct mails, display advertising or other marketing material.

  1. Eligible policies for the Promotion are life insurance, mortgage insurance, health insurance, funeral insurance or income protection insurance only purchased within the date range specified in the relevant marketing material (“Promotional Period”).
  2. To be automatically eligible to receive a Prezzy card you must:
    • have purchased and be the owner of the policy during the Promotional Period; and,
    • have an active policy at the time we post out your Prezzy card.
  3. One Prezzy card will be awarded per eligible policy, regardless of whether a policy is taken out singly or jointly.
  4. Prezzy card’s own terms and conditions apply. The card is not transferrable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
  5. To redeem your Prezzy card, email your policy number to prezzycard@lifedirect.co.nz. The Prezzy card will be posted to you within 7 working days of your email to us.
  6. LifeDirect reserves the right to change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without notice.

LifeDirect First Aid Kit October 2017 - January 2018 Campaign Terms
  • The LifeDirect First Aid Kit October 2017 - January 2018 Offer (the “Offer”) is run by LifeDirect by Trade Me Limited (“LifeDirect”). If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you are not eligible to redeem the Offer. Employees of Trade Me may not enter.
  • To be eligible to redeem the Offer, you must:
    • complete an health insurance application form through www.lifedirect.co.nz prior to 31st January 2018; and,
    • purchase and be the policy holder of a new health insurance policy prior to 28th February 2018; and,
    • maintain that policy for at least one month.
    • No Offer may be redeemed if you are replacing an existing policy started through LifeDirect.
  • Eligible LifeDirect customers will receive a First Aid Kit valued at $29.99, which will be couriered to the policy holder’s nominated address approximately one month after the policy start date.
  • Only one First Aid Kit may be redeemed per eligible policy, regardless of whether a policy is taken out singly or jointly, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other LifeDirect offer.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, LifeDirect shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any entrant (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). LifeDirect’s liability to any entrant will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to the value of the Offer.
  • LifeDirect will collect and hold personal information in accordance with the Privacy & security statement on its website, as amended from time to time.
  • LifeDirect reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate this Offer at any time.

LifeDirect Action Camera November 2017 - January 2018 Campaign Terms
  1. The LifeDirect Action Camera November 2017 - January 2018 Offer (the “Offer”) is run by LifeDirect by Trade Me Limited (“LifeDirect”). If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you are not eligible to redeem the Offer. Employees of Trade Me may not enter.
  2. To be eligible to redeem the Offer, you must:
    • complete an life insurance application form through www.lifedirect.co.nz prior to 31st January 2018; and,
    • purchase and be the policy holder of a new life insurance policy prior to 28th February 2018; and,
    • maintain that policy for at least three months; and,
    • no Offer may be redeemed if you are replacing an existing policy started through LifeDirect.
  3. Eligible LifeDirect customers may select either a 20% lump sum equal to their first year’s life insurance premiums (the “Cashback”) or a high definition waterproof action camera (the “Camera”) by emailing Team@lifedirect.co.nz. Only one Camera or Cashback may be redeemed per eligible policy, regardless of whether a policy is taken out singly or jointly, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other LifeDirect offer.
  4. If the Camera is selected, it will be couriered to the policy holder’s nominated address approximately three months after the policy start date.
  5. If the Cashback is selected, LifeDirect will transfer it to the policy holder’s nominated bank account approximately three months after the policy start date. If you cancel your life insurance policy within the first 12 months, or if your policy ceases for any other reason before you have paid 12 months’ premiums, you must immediately pay the Cashback back in full.
  6. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LifeDirect shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered by any entrant (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or incidental loss or damages). LifeDirect’s liability to any entrant will be limited in any circumstances to a maximum for all claims up to the value of the Offer.
