LifeDirect is committed to keeping your personal information as safe and secure as possible. Our site is hosted securely with a NZ Based provider - Digiweb. We have rigid company procedures to ensure your personal information is stored securely and only those people with authority are able to access your details. You will automatically be given a site ID number which will remain our way to identify you but will not be available to anyone else.
WHAT KIND OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL I NEED TO SUPPLY?
All of the information collected during the application process is necessary for the selected provider to make a full and thorough evaluation of your individual risk. Information such as contact details, health details, insurance history etc - All information is sent confidentially to the chosen provider.
IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SHARED WITH ANYONE ELSE?
Client information is only sent to the provider selected for the application. It is not registered/shared with any other companies.
WHAT WILL YOU USE MY INFORMATION FOR?
Should you wish to apply for Life Cover the personal details we collect will be sent to your selected provider to process your application. We are required to keep client records.
Regardless of your making an application it is possible that from time to time we may contact you with promotions we think you may be interested in or to introduce you to new services we are launching.
We will also send out our electronic newsletter to clients to keep you up to date with what’s going on with us. If you do not wish to be contacted with this information please let us know.
Your information will be used to analyse our site so that we can continue to provide the service you require. If you have any concerns about the way your personal details are stored or used please contact us immediately.
HOW CAN I ACCESS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Youl have full access to all information we have stored about you. If you would like to delete any information or need to update your contact details please email us. Please remember we are required to keep some records of our clients.
COOKIES
When you visit the LifeDirect site a “cookie” is created – this is a file on your hard drive which will speed up the process whenever you return to the site. Cookies don’t record any personal information they just note the areas of the site you visit.
SECURITY
We endeavor to keep all information on the site as secure as possible by using an encryption process to scramble credit card data being passed between sites and we back this up with firewalls. We regularly review our security processes and recommend that you do the same. By keeping your passwords and user names secure (i.e. not sharing them with or disclosing them to another party) and regularly updating your operating system and antivirus software you can also protect yourself.
Despite all of our measures it is impossible to guarantee that our site is 100% secure and therefore we need to emphasise we do not accept any liability for any misappropriation of your personal information from the LifeDirect website.
